Ukrainian breads : Ukraine producesexcellent cereals, whose flour serve to make up of pains varied et journey, for daily use or, for some, reserved for holidays.
The pains (in Ukrainian: khlib) and the products made of wheat are very important in Ukrainian cuisine. The decorations on top can be very refined for célébrations to great occasions.
Pashka (Паска): pain rich traditional de Easter, cooked in a moule cylindrical. The top of the pashka is decorated with the typical symbols of Easter, such as Roses or crosses.
The term pashka (Russian: Пасха, "Easter") also designates a dessert made of tvorog (fromage blanc hurry) Of forms cylindrical ou pyramidal, added de Dried fruit.
Babka: another pain de Easter, usually a dough fresh sweet with raisins and others Dried fruit. It is usually cooked in four in a big moule cylindrical.

Kalach (or kolatch): pain ring-shaped, typically served at Holidays and at funerals. The dough is braided, often with three braids representing the Holy Trinity (*). The braided is then closed in a circle (“circle” = kolo in Ukrainian) representing the circle of life and family.
(*) In Christianity, the Trinity (or Holy Trinity) is the one God in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, equal, participating in the same divine essence and yet fundamentally distinct. The term Trinitas (= tri + unitas) is coined in Latin by the Latin writer Tertullian (155-220).
Koroval: one pain round and braided, similar to the kalatch. It is most often baked and served especially during weddings ; it is decorated with patterns with animals et plants (birds, crown of periwinkles, vine leaves...).
