Acar
Acar (Asian condiment): Acar is a type of maritime Southeast Asian pickle, most common in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei. It is a localized version of the Indian achaar. It is known as atjar in Dutch cuisine, derived from the Indonesian mite. Acar is usually prepared in bulk as it can easily be stored in a tightly sealed glass jar in the refrigerator for a week and served as a side dish.
