Acerola, also called "Antilles cherry" or "Barbados cherry", is a rounded or slightly flattened fruit, bright red in color and with smooth skin. The maple tree is also called the West Indian cherry, the country cherry or the Barbados cherry. It is a tree native to Yucatan, which has spread to Central America and northern South America.
