Candy : A treat is a food end et delicate, usually sugar.
The word “candy” comes from fry. In the past, we said cheating.
The term refers mainly to small pâtisseries and sweet things that we consume between meal, usually with the fingers.
It used to mean " gourmandise in the general sense, and we specified "confectioner's delicacies" to speak of chocolates, candied fruits, bites, nougats, fruit jellies, calissons, etc., also called " sweets ».
It is most often sweet, and sometimes contains, in addition to the sucre, various colorants more or less treasures.
The popularity of sweets varies across cultures and countries. Often inexpensive to produce and distribute on a large scale, they are sold everywhere.
Treats can be served with the café or tea, or close a meal after the dessert, served in range on plateau (See Sweets).
The word "candy" is sometimes used for small preparations salty served in amuse bouche.
Au Quebec, the term candy is little used. It is replaced by candy.
