Savane: nf (word coming from the Spanish sabana, a language of Haiti).
The word “savannah” has several meanings:
1. Grassy formation in tropical regions, a vast prairie poor in trees and flowers, frequented by many animals.
Savannas of Mexico, Africa, India (campo).
Geography: Wooded savannah or parkland savannah: intermediate vegetation between the savannah proper and the forest.
2. In Canada: Marshland.
