Reinette Simirenko: A variety of reinette apple discovered by the Ukrainian pomologist (*) Lev Simirenko in his orchard and named after the name of his father Platon Simirenko. The origin of this cultivar is not very clear. It was one of the most cultivated pippin apple varieties in the former Soviet Union.
The fruit has tender but crunchy, greenish-white flesh with a subacid flavor.
