Pantua (Indian cuisine): Pantua (Bengali: পান্তুয়া) is a sweet from the Indian subcontinent, especially in West Bengal, East India and Bangladesh.
It is a traditional Bengali candy made from fried dumplings of semolina, chhena, milk, ghee and sugar syrup. Pantuas vary in color from pale brown to almost black depending on the length of frying. Rose water, cardamom or other flavorings are sometimes added to the candy.
