dariole : A dariole is a small pastry baked in a slightly flared and cylindrical mould, also called "cariole", which is also used to prepare individual babas, flans, cakes, rice cakes or vegetable cakes.
Formerly the dariole was a pastry made from puff pastry and frangipane made in these same molds.
In the kitchen, the dariole is either a cheese tart or a kind of small cheese flan.
