Breton: A Breton is a kind of mounted piece made of almond biscuits, glazed with variously colored and decorated fondants, superimposed in a pyramid, formerly serving mainly as decoration for large buffets.
The Breton cake is also a fairly thick round biscuit, rich in semi-salted butter and egg yolks, golden with egg and striped with crosses. It can be molded into the shape of a shuttle.
