Banoffee pie (English cuisine): Banoffee pie (also written banoffi, or banoffy) is an English pastry made from banana, cream and caramel (in fact more often cooked sweetened condensed milk), a preparation placed on a base of crumble of dry biscuits.
Variations using chocolate and/or coffee also exist.
The name of this dessert is a portmanteau combining banana (banana in English) and toffee (caramel).
