Larue (restaurant): "Larue" was a Parisian restaurant which opened its doors in 1886, at the corner of rue Royale and place de la Madeleine. In Larue, its founder, succeeded, in 1904, Édouard Nignon, a of the great chefs of the time. The writers Marcel Proust (1871-1922) and Abel Hermant (1861-1950) were regulars. The Club des Cent, an association of a hundred gastronomes founded in 1912, held its meetings there; when the restaurant disappeared in 1954, the Hundred emigrated to Maxim's ....
