The word “myth” has several meanings:
1. Fabulous story, transmitted by tradition, which stages beings embodying in a symbolic form the forces of nature, aspects of the human condition (fable, legend, mythology).
Theogonic, cosmogonic, eschatological myths.
Christian, pagan myths.
Native American myths.
Greek myths of Orpheus, Prometheus.
