Glucose oxidase: Glucose oxidase (GOx, GOD) is an oxidoreductase enzyme (EC 1.1.3.4) which catalyzes the oxidation of glucose into hydrogen peroxide and D-glucono-δ-lactone. In cells, it participates in splitting sugars (oses), in particular sucrose (Glc-Fru) into metabolites.
