Latundan Banana : The bananas latundan are cultivars triploids (AAB) of bananas hybrid originating from Philippines (family of Musaceae - Botanical name: Musa acuminata × M. balbisiana (AAB group) 'Silk').
It is one of the most widespread banana cultivars in South East Asia (Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Burma, Cambodia) and Philippines, With the Lacatan bananas and Saba bananas.
They are also called Tundan, silk bananas, Pisang raja sereh, Manzana bananas or apple bananas.
Description: Latundan banana trees generally reach a height of 3 to 4 m. They require total or partial exposure to sun the flowers are from color yellow, violets ou ivory-white.
