Ramona: "Ramona" is the name of the white radish (Brassicaceae family - botanical name: Raphanus sativus var. longipinnatus LHBailey), in some European countries.
It is called "daikon" in Japan where it is prepared especially sautéed in a wok.
It is cooked grated raw and in remoulade like celeriac.
