Brussels Sprout: Brussels sprout is an edible bud of a certain type of cabbage (Brassicaceae family - Botanical name: Brassica oleracea), which grows in the axils of leaves tiered along a tall stem.
Grown mainly in the North, but originating in Italy, Brussels sprouts are rich in sulfur, potassium and vitamins B9 and C. They provide 54 Kcal or 226 kJ per 100 grams.
