Bancoule nut : The cocoanut is a fruit which comes fromarbre Aleurites moluccana.
It's a type of tree tropical family of Euphorbiaceae, originating from different areas of the Peaceful (Indonesia, Malaysia, New Caledonia). It is sometimes called “Moluccan walnut”, “bancoule walnut”, “bancoule” or “bancoulier”. In English, it is the candlenut.
À Tahiti, it is called Ti'a'iri, Tutui, Tutui ma'ohi or Tuitui. The Moluccan walnut is the official state tree ofHawaii.
It is a tree cultivated in tropical countries for its noix, which can be consumed grilled, but their main use is extraction from seeds an industrial oil used in different ways (lighting, paints, fatty varnishes, wood putty, etc.), but also in pharmacopoeia.
The decaying stumps of this tree harbor worms groceries called “bancole worms”.
The arbre is very common in the streets of Lithuania, Vilnius because it is used there as an alignment tree.[/vc_column_text]
