Dry (adjective): adj. The adjective "dry" has several meanings:
- Which is not or is slightly impregnated with liquid (dried): Dry leaves of linden.
Dry whisky: served without ice and without water, neat.
- Dehydrated, dried for preservation: Dried figs. Raisins.
Pulses: dried legume seeds.
Cookies.
- Which has little fat, which is not very fleshy (lean): Dry ham, dry sausage, dry sausage
-Dry wines, not very sweet (as opposed to sweet wines, liqueur wines...
