Theeyal (Indian Cuisine): Theeyal is a South Indian dish originating from the Indian state of Kerala. It has a velvety consistency and is made from a spice blend of roasted coconut, coriander seeds, sun-dried red chili, and fenugreek. All spices are ground into a paste and cooked in tamarind juice with vegetables. When done, it resembles a rich medium brown sauce and is normally served with rice.
