Lugaw (Filipino cuisine): Lugaw, also spelled lugao, is a Filipino sticky rice porridge. Lugaw includes various dishes, both savory and sweet. In the Visayan regions, lugaw are rather salty. Description of Lugaw: Lugaw is traditionally made by boiling sticky rice (in Tagalog: malagkit; in Visayan: pilit). Plain white rice can also be used if boiled with excess water.
