Bresse cream : The cream and the Bresse butter are from the natural and historical region of Bresse benefiting from a AOC depuis le 26 janvier 2012. En 2014, la crème et le butter de Bresse deviennent une appellation d’origine protégée (AOP).
Appellation d'origine contrôlée: This AOC concerns 93 communes in Ain, 64 in Saône-et-Loire and 35 in Jura, in a quadrilateral of Mervans – Beaufort – Ceyzériat – Saint-André-de-Bâgé.
Production: In 2016, 532 tonnes of Bresse cream and 434 tonnes of Bresse butter were produced.
