Plantet: Plantet or Seibel 5455 is a hybrid black grape variety, crossing of Seibel 4461 with a hybrid of Vitis Berlandieri and Jacquez (Franco-American hybrid, prohibited since 1935). We owe it to Albert Seibel (1844-1936), in Aubenas in Ardèche. It was planted a lot when the vineyard was reconstituted after the phylloxera crisis and especially between the two wars.
