Rège: nf In the Bordeaux vineyards, we still designate by rège* a row of trellised vines.
This old unit of measurement of area is equivalent to 86 m² or one hundred paces long (about 86 m) by one meter wide.
*François Mauriac (1885-1970) uses this term in his novel "The knot of vipers"....
