Canari: Canari is a black grape variety that is only very rarely encountered in today's vineyards. Its origins are probably Pyrenean, precisely in Ariège. Its repertoire of alternative appellations is extensive. The boudalès of the Cévennes becomes crazy black at Fronton. It is still referred to as black chalosse, black ugne or canaril.
