Barbaroux: The Barbaroux grape is a very fertile black grape variety from Provence with large clusters and large pinkish grains. It is included in the appellation Cassis rouge and in certain Corsican wines (Ajaccio, Sartène) locally called barbarossa. The Barbaroux is endangered.
This plant has supposed Provençal origins. Farmers in the South of France appreciate them as ornaments for the pergolas of their homes.
