Auxerrois: Auxerrois is a white grape variety native to Lorraine, which also thrives in Alsace and the Loire Valley where it took off in 1950. Its name comes from the nurseries of Auxerre where it found refuge during the war 39 -45. Often called Pinot Auxerrois, it is part of the AOC Moselle, Alsace, Côtes-de-Toul grape varieties. It is also used in the production of Crémant d'Alsace.
