Nymphaeaceae: The Nymphaeaceae (or Nymphaeaceae) is a family of flowering plants (Angiosperms). The two main genera are Nymphaea or Nuphar.
These are aquatic plants, rhizomatous, with floating round leaves, represented in France by yellow water lilies (genus Nuphar). We can also mention the Blue Lotus (Nymphaea caerulea), native to Central Africa, which was the heraldic plant of Upper Egypt.
