Thüringer (German charcuterie): The Thüringer, also called Thüringer Rostbratwurst or Thüringer Roster, is a traditional German sausage. It is made from pork, beef or sometimes veal.
Origin: The Thüringer sausage comes, as the name suggests, from the German region of Thuringia.
Since 2003, the use of the name “Thüringer” has been, at the request of the region concerned, geographically protected (PGI).
