Gouda: Gouda (in Dutch Goudse kaas, "Gouda cheese") is the most famous and consumed cheese in the Netherlands. It takes its name from the town of Gouda, in South Holland (see map below), where it was traditionally sold. It is an uncooked pressed cheese.
