Thenard (Louis Jacques): Louis Jacques Thenard is a French chemist (La Louptière, Aube 1777 - Paris 1857), inventor of hydrogen peroxide. He gave a name given to the palatability of meat: osmazome. In 1799, on order of Minister Chaptal for the Sèvres factory, he discovered "Bleu de Thenard" (cobalt blue), which is used to color porcelain.
