Tetrahydrothiophene: Tetrahydrothiophene or thiolane or even regularly referred to by the acronym THT, is a heterocyclic organic compound. It is a cyclic thioether with five atoms, one sulfur and four carbon. It is the simplest compound of the thiolane family.
It is a colorless and flammable liquid, with a very characteristic smell, so much so that it is added to the consumable gas to detect possible leaks.
