Singer: v.tr. "Singing" is an operation that consists of sprinkling with flour elements that have previously been browned in fat, letting the flour cook a little before pouring a wetting liquid (milk, water, broth, etc. ) to obtain a linked sauce.
We used this expression in the past when we "mated a sauce" with monkey juice which was the colloquial name for caramel sauce....
