Unite: v.tr. (word from the Latin unire, from unus: one).
The verb “to unite” has several meanings:
I) Transitive verb:
A. Putting (rare in concrete use) together so as to form a whole:
1. To put together (the elements of a whole) (to aggregate, to assemble, to confuse, to melt, to merge, to mingle, to unite, to weld).
Unite a province with a country (annex). Crimea was united with Russia in 2014.
