Debasement: nm (word coming from debase).
The word “debasement” has several meanings:
1. Literature: Action of degrading, of degrading oneself; state of a degraded person (lowering, abjection, corruption, dishonor, discredit, stigmatization, humiliation, opprobrium, degradation, degradation, defilement).
– Quote from the French writer Romain Rolland (1866-1944), Nobel Prize for Literature in 1915: “The inevitable debasement of wills by poverty”.
Fall into degradation.
