Components of wine: locut. The components of wine are nearly a thousand substances entering into the composition of a wine have been identified. The most important is water. It represents 80% to 90% of the wine. The second constituent is ethyl alcohol (between 7% and 10% of the wine). Here is the list of the main components of wine (list which is far from being exhaustive):
Water

1 to 2 g / l
Carbohydrates
2 to 3 g / l 20 to 100 g / l (white wines)
