Époisses: Epoisses is a French cheese from the Burgundy region, benefiting from an AOC since 1991 and an AOP since 1996.
Its appellation area covers approximately the north-western half of the Côte-d'Or, two cantons of Haute-Marne and three cantons of Yonne. Its name is that of the village of Époisses, located in the west of this territory (see map below).
