Ternstromiaceae: The Ternstromiaceae (or Ternstroemiaceae) family is a family of dicotyledonous plants.
They are trees or shrubs with simple alternate leathery leaves, usually without a stipule, of tropical and subtropical origin.
The flowers are usually white, arranged in axillary or terminal peduncles, articulated at the base.
