Grains: nmpl. The curds form during the early stages of cheese making (coagulation) and are subsequently pressed or eaten as is, in the case of cheese curds.
Note that the word grain is also used for a mix intended to make sausages or sausages. We then speak of small grains, medium grains, large grains.
