Cormophyte: nf A cormophyte is a plant that has differentiated from a corm, that is to say an erect axis with vascular tissues (phloem). Spermaphthytes (seed plants), Pteridophytes (ferns) and Bryophytes (mosses) are Cormophytes. However, for the latter the difference between thallus and corm is not always clear.
