Caudiciforme: adj. "Caudicforme" qualifies a plant which has a caudex; plants of this type are characterized by a division of labor between the permanent organs, used to store water and food, and the aerial organs, generally ephemeral, sites of photosynthesis. Example: Pseudobombax.
