Laguipière: Laguipière is a French chef (? - 1812). Having climbed the ladder of his profession in the household of the Prince of Condé (*), whom he followed into exile, he then directed, on his return to France, Napoleon's kitchens (**).
Antonin Carême then worked under his orders. He then entered the service of Murat (***), whom he accompanied to Naples, then during the Russian campaign. He froze to death in Vilna, Lithuania, and his body was brought back tied behind his master's car.
