Bedroom: v.tr. Chambering means gradually bringing a wine to the temperature at which it should be consumed (and not, contrary to popular belief, to the temperature of the room where it will be tasted).
White and rosé wines are drunk between 5 and 10°C.
Red wines should be served between 15 and 18°C.
Champagnes are served between 7 and 8°C. It is the temperature which allows the best development of the bouquet and makes the foam hold the best.
