Teaspoon : nf The teaspoon (also called a “small spoon”) is a table utensil widely used to dissolve the sucre in a coffee or in a yogurt and quite simply to stir various liquids or textures for consumption. But a teaspoon is above all a unit of measurement whose primary purpose is to measure a series of dry or liquid ingredients.
A teaspoon corresponds to 0.5 cl, or half of a dessert spoon and triple of a tablespoon. The weight differs depending on the type or density of the ingredient, so one teaspoon corresponds to 5 g of salt or sucre ; at 4 g of all-purpose flour or semolina and 3 g of cocoa or starch.
