Respect: v.tr. (word coming from respect).
The verb “respect” has several meanings:
1. To regard with respect, to honor with deep, marked deference (revere, venerate).
Respect his parents.

Professor who knows how to be respected (also feared).
Especially: Treat with respect, avoiding shock.
