Paracoumaric acid: Paracoumaric acid or parahydroxycinnamic acid is a phytochemical compound derived from cinnamic acid with the molecular formula C9H8O3. It is the para isomer of coumaric acid and the most abundant of the three isomers in nature. It is thus, by abuse of language, often simply called coumaric acid.
Natural Occurrence: Paracoumaric acid is found in a wide variety of edible plants, such as peanuts, tomatoes, carrots, and garlic.
