Clever: adj. (word coming from the Latin habilis “easy to handle”, by extension “well adapted”).
The adjective “skillful” has several meanings:
I) Aged sense: Capable, suitable, clean.
Modern meaning: Who fulfills the conditions required for the exercise of a right.
Make a person competent to contract, to succeed (entitle).
II)
1. Who does what he undertakes, with as much skill as intelligence or skill (capable); old: industrious.
