To bathe: The verb "to bathe" has several meanings:
I. Transitive verb:
1. To put and maintain (a body, an object) in water or another liquid to wash, clean, refresh, soak.
(immerse, plunge, soak, and soak).
Bathe his feet in water.
2. Especially: Make (someone) take a bath to wash it.
To surround, to touch, speaking of the sea. The sea which bathes this coast.
3. By extension: Wetting, watering, flooding. Bathe your forehead with vinegar....
