2-methylpropan-1-ol: 2-methylpropan-1-ol, methylpropan-1-ol, or isobutanol, is a primary alcohol with the molecular formula C4H10O. It is one of the isomers of butanol. It is widely used as a solvent during chemical reactions, but also as a reagent in organic synthesis.
