The "pot spoon" is never more than a large ladle which, because of its size, makes it possible to quickly empty a container or quickly serve large ladlefuls of food.
This is quite simply where the notion of speed would come from (the container emptied in just two shots) associated with our expression which would have been born in the military or prison environment (the rapid service of the rata of the sluts or the prisoners).
The absence of difficulty sometimes implies the intervention of a luck factor, which is also found in have pot. Another origin sometimes proposed would come from the navy with sails, the "pot spoon" being a cutlass provided with a shell in the shape of a spoon intended to protect the hand.
