Talinum: Talinum is a genus of herbaceous, succulent plant of the Talinaceae family, formerly classified as Portulacaceae, (botanical name: Talinum fruticosum). Several species of the genus are edible, including Talinum fruticosum, which is widely cultivated in the regions tropical as a leafy vegetable.
Another species in the genus, Talinum paniculatum, is grown as an ornamental plant.
